We appreciate the thoughtfulness and time everyone who sent in a video put forth. Everyone really did a great job, and it was a unique experience to see the videos. We feel Michaela’s showed humor, a passion for the fandom, and an excitment for the convention that just went above and beyond.

Michaela has given us permission to post her video, and we will do so in a few days, so keep an eye out. In the meantime, we want to share her “Why I’m a Fan” portion of her entry:

I became of a fan Tess Gerritsen because her stories pulled me in and her writing style is incredible. I’m a fan of crime novels in general but Tess’s are extra suspenseful and gripping.

As for the Rizzoli & Isles tv show let me say this: I never expected to become a fan. In fact, you couldn’t pay me to watch most “police dramas” but this show is so different. Yes, it’s about police work but it’s also about two strong women who are the tops in their fields. Not to mention the dynamic between them is amazing! From the first episode there was no doubt in my mind these two ladies are a TEAM! That is such a rarity in tv, fiction, real life, that I became an instant convert.

The acting is amazing. Sasha Alexander and Angie Harmon nail it week after week. Plus, the supporting cast is nothing short of phenomenal.

Then there’s the fandom! Oh where do I begin with that? It’s amazing! Because of this show I have met and made some amazing friends both online and in person. Yes, I ship Rizzles. Yes, I know Jane and Maura aren’t gay in cannon, but to have such an amazingly diverse and creative fan base is extraordinary. Finally, a fandom where I feel comfortable! It’s been an amazing experience since day one.

I don’t know what else to say except, honestly, you’d be hard pressed to find a bigger fan and being able to attend this Convention would mean the world to me.

Celebrity & Fashion Photographer Adam Bouska is known for his unique style, currently operating his photography studio in Los Angeles.

Jeff Parshley‘s work with the campaign includes coordinating celebrity involvement in both NOH8 photos and videos, producing and overseeing the NOH8 public service announcements, planning and coordinating upcoming open photo shoot locations, and much more.

Creating the NOH8 Campaign is their proudest work to date, and they hope to continue traveling the world putting a face to the fight for equality. Remember the NOH8 photo studio will be at RizzlesCon 12 on Sunday, July 2012.

Here’s how to enter:

1. Make a short (2 minutes or less) video telling why you want to go to RizzlesCon 2012, simple as that!
2. Upload the video to YouTube (creating an account is easy if you don’t already have one). You can keep the setting on your video private if you don’t want your creation shared with the world.
3. Go to the contest page, fill out the entry form and submit your video. Videos should be posted By 11:59 EST on Tuesday, April 10th, 2012.

Entrants’ submissions will be judged by TGRizzolievents staff in conjunction with RizzlesCon management. A winner will be chosen based on creativity, originality, and artistic content. Bonus points for humor!

We appreciate everyone’s continued involvement, excitement, and support. July is going to be a wonderful experience for everyone, and we cannot wait to meet you all!

To begin with, we’d like to say a few words on why this individual’s work was chosen. We felt their work best exemplified the spirit of both the convention and the show through incredibly well executed original designs. Clever, clean, and attractive, their poster designs were exactly what we feel best represents this unique event.

All of that said, the winner of the poster contest who now can have bragging rights and a prize package including a printed poster signed by those guests attending the convention is Annemarie Villas (@Aliasanna; Tumblr: http://aliasanna.tumblr.com/).

Demand was so high initially, our website was brought down (which was both bad and good news, but unfortunately not one which we could directly control). After immediately tweeting out the direct link to the TicketLeap Site we were pleased to see VIP and Gold levels sell out very quickly. We are sorry not everyone got the tickets they wanted, but whatever level you get, the event will be a great experience. There are plenty of General Admission and Enhanced Admission tickets left (over 70% of each), day passes are selling well too, however more than 50% of the Saturday tickets have been sold. We also have party passes available.

Remember than is you buy prior to February 28, 2012 you secure the 5% discount thats currently reflected on the ticket site.

For the Mauras’ among you, here is a quick breakdown of attendees so far;

• 86% are from the United States, 9% from across Europe, 3% from Canada and 2% from Australia.
• Within the US, the top 5 states break down as; 48 people from California, 19 from Texas, 10 from Florida, 8 from Ohio and 6 from Illinois.
• Exactly half of the US states are represented amongst the attendees!

We also wanted to take this opportunity to clarify a few points to which we have questions over the past few days;

• The party pass includes the dinner food for the evening. It also includes a full set from Sophie B. Hawkins. There will be a cash-bar, and if you are of age you can buy alcohol.
• We will supply refreshments throughout the conference to all attendees (you may even see donuts – a special request from a J. Rizzoli)
• Every pass level gets into all the sessions, Q&A panels, workshops and presentations. There’s just different seating categories.
• The VIP lunches include food and drink.
• There will be lots of opportunities to take part in contests over the RizzlesCon weekend, there’s no additional cost for these and you can win some cool prizes!
